Room description
Hello! We have a lovely, fully-furnished double room available in our warm and welcoming North London home.
*** Ideal move in date, 1st March, but can be available from February 20th ***
The room includes everything you need to settle right in — king-size bed, clothes rail, shelving, desk, chest of drawers, and optional linen if you’d like it.
You’ll be sharing with:
Makeda (me!) – a creative professional and the homeowner’s daughter, so if anything ever needs attention, it gets sorted quickly and easily.
Jocelyn – a very shy but lovely woman from Haiti/Virginia who’s attending at the Savile Row Academy until next July.
And Hera, my sweet blind rescue dog — she’s a total dreamboat, and everyone falls in love with her 🐾
The house features:
* A large communal kitchen
* A wet room/shower
* A garden
* Lots of greenery — we love our plants 🌱
The living room is used as my home office as I work remotely.
This is not a party house — it’s a calm, quiet, friendly space where everyone respects each other’s privacy, routines, enjoys the occasional kitchen chat, and appreciates having a clean, comfortable home to return to.
💫 Who We’re Looking For
We’d love someone who is:
* Clean and tidy — this is non-negotiable. We take turns cleaning shared areas weekly (so about once every 3 weeks each), and everyone keeps things clean day-to-day.
* Respectful, considerate, and mature — you value a peaceful home where people treat each other kindly.
* Independent and responsible, with an active, balanced lifestyle.
* A professional who goes to work Mon -Fri (not remote or hybrid).
* Sociable but self-sufficient — up for a friendly chat, but also happy doing your own thing.
* Someone who takes initiative and helps keep the home lovely and clean without being asked or reminded.
If you’re too busy to clean during your week, that’s fine — you can book a cleaner. What matters most is that you always contribute to keeping the space harmonious.
We’re open to respectful male applicants too, though the dynamic has always worked best with a female housemate.
🚫 Please Don’t Apply If You:
* Leave mess behind you
* Spend all day (every day) isolated in your room
* Expect others to manage shared responsibilities
* Are noisy, untidy, loud, or looking for a party space.
🏡 Details:
* All bills included: council tax, WiFi, electricity, gas, and water
* Communal products also included (hand soap, detergent, cleaning products, etc)
* Minimum stay: 3 months (option to extend on a fixed or rolling basis)
If this sounds like your kind of home, please send a message with a bit about yourself, your lifestyle, and what you’re looking for in a house share.
Looking forward to hearing from you 🌼
Makeda
