Room description

Hello there!

We're offering a bright double room with its own private ensuite bathroom in our friendly, roomy three-storey Victorian terrace house.

The house is opposite a huge. leafy, 77-acre park and our street is in a Low Traffic Neighbourhood zone, which means it's very quiet and peaceful, with clean air.

There's a high-speed fibre-optic wireless Internet connection, with access to your own WIFI node if you need one.

The house is a 15-minute walk away from Maryland "tube" station (the Elizabeth Line) and a 20-minute walk (or 5-minute bus ride) away from Stratford station, which is a large transport hub with various tube, overground, national rail and DLR links. If you have a car, there's plenty of on-street parking and you can apply for a resident's parking permit from Newham Council.

There's a cosy, small lounge for you and one other housemate to share, and an additional, separate downstairs guest toilet.

You'll have a fully-equipped, spacious kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, air fryer, oven and gas hob, as well as plenty of fridge space and food cupboard space (you'll have half a large fridge/freezer to yourself) as well as a nice dining area.

Outside, there's a pretty back garden with a barbecue — perfect for a bit of outdoor space when the weather's nice.

All bills are included and everything is extremely well maintained and looked after.

The house is three blocks away from a good (Better) gym and nearby Stratford town centre offers a good mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment options - as well as the massive Westfield Shopping Centre, where you can find literally everything!

In terms of what we're looking for, we’d like you to be employed full-time (not freelance), preferably working roughly conventional office hours, reliable, friendly, and generally clean, tidy and considerate. (Sorry, no couples.)

The general vibe here is friendly, relaxed and respectful — everyone keeps communal spaces clean, but there’s no pressure to be super social all the time. People mostly do their own thing but are usually up for a trip to the pub or the occasional meal (or barbecue when it's sunny!).

If this sounds like your kind of place, drop us a message and tell us a little about yourself. Looking forward to meeting you!
