Room description
We’re looking for a new housemate for our king-size room in a 3-bed flat in Streatham.
The flat is on the top floor of a Victorian house, split over three levels, so it feels more like a house than a flat. It’s fully furnished and has everything you’d need — the room comes with a bed and mattress (with four storage drawers), chest of drawers, and there’s plenty of shared kitchenware already.
We’re Luke and Jess — housemates since uni, living here together for the past 2.5 years. We work in translation and sustainability, mostly from home with a couple of office days each. Ideally, we’d love someone who’s more office-based, but the room has space for a desk if you need it, and there’s also the breakfast bar in the kitchen.
We’re clean and tidy (weekly cleaner included as part of the rental) and would like someone similar. We often cook and eat together but are just as happy for people to do their own thing. Evenings are usually pretty chilled — a series on Netflix/Prime (we’ve got them all) or trip to the pub/dinner out on the weekends. Definitely not a party house, but sociable.

- Water + TV licence included in the rent
- Gas, electric, internet, cleaner and council tax are extra — about £120/month
- References required by our landlady
Location highlights:
- 3–4 mins to the station, Aldi, M&S and Big Tesco
- 20 mins on the bus to Brixton or Tooting for the tube
- 15 mins walk to Streatham Common and to Streatham Hill. 5 mins bus to Streatham Hill if you don’t fancy the walk.
- 5 mins walk to Streatham and Tooting Commons
Our current housemate is moving to Canada, so move-in date may shift slightly depending on their plans, but will be around the date advertised.
We’ll be doing viewings from 23rd September.
