Hey!
I’m Jasmine, 23 years old and from Germany. I’ll be coming to Cardiff this September as an exchange student for one semester, so I’m currently looking for a place to stay anywhere in the city until the end of January.
A little bit about myself:
I’d say I’m more of a quiet person. I really enjoy things like walks, reading, exploring cafés and the city, and having movie or game nights rather than staying out all night to party. Apart from that I’m really looking forward to experiencing a new culture, and in turn, I’d love to share a bit of mine with you (I’m pretty good at baking German cakes!).
What you can expect from me as a flatmate:
I’m a tidy person who is always happy to do my share of chores. I really value respecting boundaries: I’m always down for a chat about anything and everything from small to deep talk, but I also love giving people their space when they need it and I appreciate a similar balance in return.
All in all, I’d say I’m a really uncomplicated flatmate. I really desire harmony.
A few important details:
Since my semester abroad is fixed, I am specifically looking for a room until the end of January, as a longer contract wouldn’t quite fit my budget.
Also, it’s really important to me to view the room before renting, both to keep things safe and scam-free, and to get a chance to meet the lovely people I’ll be living with! That should be in everyone’s interest.
Since I’m still in Germany, a physical viewing won’t be possible, but I’d be absolutely delighted to do an online viewing via video call.

P.S. Even if your offer doesn’t quite fit my wishes, I’d be more than happy to get any tips on finding a place to live in Cardiff. As an international student, it’s tricky to figure out how the housing market works in another country, especially when you only need a room for a short period of time.
