Room description

The large first floor front double bedroom is bright, warm and comfortable. As well as the double bed (with memory foam mattress), in one alcove there’s an antique dresser with a large mirror and a very large wardrobe in the other with a large bookcase near the bed. I’m happy to add a small desk or table as needed.

A few steps away, the traditional bathroom has a roll top bath and a good sized shower. The house has just this one bathroom which is shared.

Downstairs there’s a large kitchen diner with table and seating for six and which gets all the morning sun. The kitchen is very well equipped with a fridge freezer, a large five ring gas range with two ovens, a microwave, a Kenwood food mixer, a Magimix food processor, a toaster, a dishwasher and lots of work surfaces. If you like cooking or baking it’s perfect! I’m a vegetarian but I have no problem with people cooking meat (within reason!). In the utility room there’s a washing machine and a drying rack.

Outside is a small courtyard which can be seen from the kitchen windows.

The house is centrally heated and there’s good WiFi coverage throughout (average 36 Mbs download). The house is non-smoking and no pets.

The main West Road going into town is close where there’s a Post Office and a variety of ethnic food shops, restaurants and take-aways. Buses are frequent or it’s an easy 30 minute downhill walk either to uni or central station. There is on-street parking immediately outside the house.

I live in the property, and I’m a retired musician and language school owner (among lots of other things!). I’m friendly and sociable, but I respect others’ need for privacy.

The monthly rent is £375 which includes all bills, so there’s nothing more for you

to pay. A deposit of £300 is required with the first month’s rent.

This is a very comfortable, well equipped house and well worth a viewing.
