Hi, my name is Sylvie.

My lovely housemate is moving out, so I am in search of another.

I'm hoping to find a friendly, considerate professional who would enjoy sharing a relaxed and welcoming home with me (and a visiting cat).

The house is in a peaceful Trumpington neighbourhood with wonderful neighbours and a lovely community feel. It's within walking distance of Grantchester, just a 15-minute cycle to Cambridge city centre, and around 10 minutes by bike to Addenbrooke’s Hospital and the Biomedical Campus.

🌸 THE ROOM

A bright and comfortable double bedroom on the first floor (approximately 3.5m x 3m).

The room can be rented furnished or unfurnished.

🌸 AVAILABILITY

The double room is available from 15 July.

An earlier move-in date may be possible if needed. In that case, you would have use of the third bedroom until 15 July, after which you would move into the double room. A reduced rent may be available for this interim period.

You would share the rest of the house with me, including:

Open-plan kitchen, dining and living area, with a projector for cosy movie nights

The house is conveniently situated.

AstraZeneca – 8 min cycle / 8 min drive

Botanic Garden – 10 min cycle / 7 min drive

Waitrose supermarket – 5 min walk / 2 min cycle

Voi e-scooter hire point – 1 minute from the house

Trumpington Park & Ride – 13 min walk / 5 min cycle

M11 – 5 min drive

Stansted Airport – 30 min drive

🌸 COSTS

Rent: £1,000 per month

Bills are shared separately (gas, electricity, water, broadband, TV licence and council tax)

The tenancy is arranged through a letting agency and managed by the landlord. A security deposit of £1,000 will be required upon signing the tenancy agreement.

🌸 A LITTLE ABOUT ME

I work for Cambridge University Press & Assessment and have lived in the Cambridge area for nearly 20 years.

I love all things Italian, recently started ballet classes, practise yoga, and make porcelain pottery on the wheel in the little studio in the garden. I'm vegetarian, enjoy trying new things, and value kindness, openness and meaningful connections. I am very friendly and enjoy a warm, sociable home, but I also respect privacy and understand the need for alone time and personal space.

One of the nicest things about sharing homes over the years has been the friendships I've made along the way, and I'd love to find someone who enjoys a friendly and respectful living environment.

The room is available for single occupancy only, though friends, family and partners are very welcome to visit and stay over.
