Room description

This is an ad for two double rooms for female postgrad students in a 5-bed house on Argyle St available for only university postgrad students. Room 1 is on the 1st floor next to a shared bathroom and is fully furnished with bed, mattress, closet, desk, bookshelf, dresser. Room 2 is on the bottom floor and is furnished similarly. It also has a door leading to the garden and uses a bathroom shared by two others on the bottom floor.

There is a spacious kitchen with an oven, hob, microwave, kettle, and two fridges, and it is furnished with any dishes/utensils you might need. The kitchen opens to a large dining room/living room that looks out into a wonderful garden. There is also a utility room furnished with washer, dryer, and many other household essentials for you to use and several storage closets upstairs. The house is located at the end of a shared driveway away from the main street for extra privacy, and there is an available parking spot and garage.

We are also a very sociable house and often do things together in the communal living room. We go to the pub a lot and often have odd meals or BBQs in the garden. We are looking for someone who is clean and considerate, and also sociable.

Currently it is 2 males and 3 males, two of whom are moving out.

Both rooms are £600pcm with £8.50pcm extra for wifi. The lease starts 1 October 2025 and ends 30 September 2026 with the option to extend it for an additional year (subject to approval from the landlord). Can also sublet but that too is subject to approval. Bills generally cost £40pcm.

Argyle St is a quiet residential street just off of Mill Road, providing easy access to lots of shops and restaurants! It is just a 10 min walk to Cambridge station and 15 min walk to the city centre. Bus stops are nearby and cyclists will find it easy to commute to Addenbrooke’s, West Cambridge, Sidgwick Site, and other places around Cambridge.

Ultra fast broadband internet (WiFi) is included in the rent.

It is Council Tax Band E (don't need to pay if full time student though).
