Room description
I have a lovely big unfurnished double room in my flat to let. Ideally looking for somebody for 1st September or 1st October.
I live in a second floor 2-bed spacious flat on one of the Avenues, 2 minutes’ walk from the seafront /Hove Lawns, 2 minutes the other way to cafes, restaurants and everything that Church Road has to offer. About 15 minutes’ walk from Hove train station. Bus stop near end of the road, with many bus routes available.
£825pcm rent + bills = council tax (~£105/person/month), Electric/Gas (season-depending £30 to 85/person/month with Octopus Energy) water (£25/person/month), wifi (~£20/person/month) + tv license (~£15/person/month). Happy to add on and share Netflix if you'd like.
I'm looking for a friendly and independent person. I’m 34 and work in international policy in the wildlife charity sector, all remotely from the flat (my work desk being in the living room). My interests include nature and the outdoors, gym classes and yoga, music/going to gigs, food/cooking (I’m pescatarian). I am fairly quiet during my working week and at night but do equally like to socialise.
I often spend time away from the flat, either at my boyfriend’s in the countryside, visiting family back in France (long weekend/week every 3 months or so), or on work trips (2 to 4 times a year). My boyfriend visits every other weekend or weekday, and I (very) occasionally have friends staying over. I would of course not mind the same on your side, so your friends are welcome too.
Your room is at the rear of the flat with a window overlooking the back gardens. It is unfurnished (except for a pine wardrobe) with laminate floor. Great size, fits a lounging and/or office area and has original fireplace (not working) and some shelving space. Painted white throughout (sorry it is light pink on photos as taken two years ago).
I care about looking after the space and keeping it tidy. There is a well-equipped kitchen including fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave and other basic equipment. Bathroom is with slightly bigger bath with shower over top, with large window and there is a separate toilet. There is a sunny furnished living room to the front of the flat.
Parking restricted to residents permits only or pay at meter. I pay around £200/year. If you need there is a bike shed in the secure back garden which is partly under cover.
A female professional is preferred.
