Hi!
I'm looking for a room to rent in the UK starting around February or March 2026, for approximately 3 months. I’ll be doing a language exchange program while continuing to work remotely for my current employer in Brazil.
I’m 34 years old, originally from São Paulo, Brazil. I work remotely for a well-established Brazilian tech company. I’ll continue working during my stay, from 12pm to 10pm (UK time), Monday to Friday. My job is fully online and very quiet — I’m calm, focused, and not disruptive at all.
Because I’ll be working remotely, it’s important that the room has a desk and chair so I can set up a comfortable and quiet workspace.
The goal of this exchange is to improve my English for professional growth.
I’d love to know more about the place:
Is the room available for the full 3-month stay?
What’s the monthly rent and what’s included (bills, Wi-Fi, etc.)?
Are there any extra costs for cleaning or laundry?
Can I use the kitchen and washing machine freely?
How many people live in the house? Are there children?
Who is responsible for cleaning the shared spaces, and how often is that done?
A bit more about me:
I'm Portuguese-Brazilian (I have Portuguese citizenship), love visiting historical places, and I’ve already travelled to Europe several times. I visited Scotland in November 2024 for vacation and fell in love with the country — I had the chance to explore a few cities and truly enjoyed the culture and the landscape.
I might also visit my sister in Portugal on some weekends during my stay.
I don’t party or drink heavily. I enjoy a good glass of wine or beer occasionally, but I’m not into nightlife — I’ll be focused on my work and studies while I’m there.
